Recently, a friend invited me to a large party at a community hall. Little did I expect that the hall would be so crowded that it became almost impossible to move. With all of the pushing and gridlock, I found myself wedged in near the bar. After awhile though the crowd began to thin out and I could move about the room. It was only then that I realized how much delicious food lay about on the table. Wow!
And that is what hypnosis is all about.
Life is demanding. Each of us is continuously “shoved around” by the circumstances of our lives. Medical problems, habits, destructive relationships, clinical depression, chronic pain, and anxiety are just a few of the circumstances that force us into corners where we can no longer see the opportunities that lie around us. We enter a trance state that can be tougher than a prison cell. Hypnosis opens our eyes to the options. Through the power of trancework, association, and self-hypnosis we can move towards new options with confidence and joy.
Milton Erickson, the late American psychiatrist, fascinated by the ancient science of hypnosis, developed a methodology that was enormously helpful to many people. Prior to his death in 1980, Erickson founded a training center and professional society to continue the work that he had begun. To date the American Society For Clinical Hypnosis (A.S.C.H.) has trained thousands of physicians, psychologists, and social workers in clinical hypnosis.
In order to bring Erickson’s teaching and the power of clinical hypnosis to his patients and students, Dr. Mark completed a rigorous two year internship in hypnotherapy through A.S.C.H. In the years since, hundreds have used the powerful yet gentle methods of hypnosis to tackle clinical depression, anxiety disorders, medical disorders, and many other difficulties, both big or small.
And they can help you.
